Michael Paneth’s practice focuses primarily on litigating complex business, insurance, and health care disputes.
Michael litigates all forms of business disputes, including those arising from contracts, real estate, health care and other business-related transactions, as well as disagreements among shareholders or partners.
In addition, Michael represents individual and corporate policy owners, beneficiaries, insurance agents, life settlement and viatical brokers and life settlement providers in all forms of insurance litigation, including coverage disputes arising from policies providing for life insurance, Stranger Owned Life Insurance (“STOLI”) and lapsed life insurance policies, Long-Term Disability Insurance, Property & Casualty Liability Insurance, Long Term Care Insurance, Commercial General Liability Insurance, Jeweler’s Block Insurance, Title Insurance, Director & Officer Liability Insurance, Professional Liability Insurance, Garage Operations Insurance, and Insurance Company Bad Faith. Michael has given lectures to national audiences of insurance company executives, corporate counsel and other insurance professionals, and has testified as an expert witness at arbitrations involving insurance laws and insurance company practices and procedures.
Michael received his Juris Doctorate from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, and earned his bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from Touro College. He also served as a Judicial Intern to the Honorable Katherine S. Hayden, United States District Court, D.N.J.
Michael is admitted to the New York and New Jersey state bars, as well as the District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the District of New Jersey.
Michael previously volunteered as an Emergency Medical Technician for the fire department, and he currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the school that his children attend.
